Father's Day

This dog. This silly little tolerant dog. If Katie was left to her own devices, Olaf would be wearing diapers, dresses, bonnets and going for stroller rides. Over and over again she tells me that she wishes that she had dresses for him. He tells me with those sad pleasing eyes how pleased he is that she doesn't. I cannot believe how much he lets her carry him around. If we aren't careful this little guy won't know how to walk anymore.
A trusty boating companion! They had a great time playing in nanny and granddad's garden on father's day. I had the second most awesome weekend in a row doing hard machine labor outdoors. Mowing the lawn was second only to weed whacking. My favorite part was at the end of the day my legs were welted and bleeding from all of the debris that crappy weed whacker kicked up. I was pleased with myself as there were only two "Accidental Eliminations", of desired and wanted plants that is. As I am not a professional garden machine operator I think that was pretty good. I was glad that I was finally able to give my father in law a gift that he really wanted, a fantastic looking garden, thanks to the hard labor of 6 adults and 2 kids for like 80 hours. Or maybe 5 hours with one Starbucks break.
Olaf enjoyed nipping the tail of Kalie one of Tricia's dogs. But not having witnessed the act myself I must wonder is the face of a naughty tail nipper???
Two peas in a pod. Dennis had to do the "Fine" work of weeding the flower beds and planting, we were to oofy and unskilled to perform such tasks. Anna was however capable of being his trained monkey. I however had to do hard labor, mow lawns, use the week whacker...

I was very amused that when someone accidentally eliminated a few stalks of flowers and convinced Katie to give them to her nanny and swear not to tell where they came from. After she gave them to her, nanny asked her to not pick anymore flowers and Katie said she didn't. That she found them on the ground. (Where they lay after the weed whacker incident.) No one ever knew the truth!

Love, hugs and Kissed!

Be Still My heart...

Katie had her first dance recital ever! As she pranced around in  cute little costume fluffy with yellow feathers, off by at least two beats doing her own song my heart stood still. I just love the spunk and fire and above all confidence and faith they have in themselves at this age. They just love to do it, they believe they are great. I wish they never lost that.

Count Olaf is adjusting well!

On a car ride with daddy. Not quite sure I like riding in the car yet.

What a sweet little face...
So far he's a good little boy who with proper supervision doesn't do too many naughty things.

Announcing Count OlaF Digby, formly known as Sumo!

First day out of Jail on a walk with Julianna.

Here is the cutest baby boy ever! He's nine month's old and super dee duper sweet. Still getting used to his new family. We adopted him from the humane society, they we very very nice. He came home on Tuesday afternoon. He's still a little skittish of the car, but who wouldn't be? Especially if real recently one of your car rides ends up with you being put in a cage and having your testicles removed, ouch! He's a pretty good sleeper and so far has not tried to eat any of the girls. As Milo was a super bad dog our standards are pretty low so we're confident he'll work out. I can't say he hasn't crapped on my floors, but the upside is they are pretty small turds so the clean up hasn't been horrible. Here are a couple of pictures to melt your little hearts. Also of interesting coincidence we have the same birthday! How cute hu?

Armpits, Puke, Cheese and onion crisps....

How could these things possibly be related?

I am so not in love with the fact that gas is $4 a gallon. I have been forcing the kids, including Darren into what we have dubbed the little car. Our sweat gas sipping Saturn. Cozy too to encourage bonding and such. On one such lovely day after yet another trip to the Oregon humane society, more to come on that later, we were driving home on a lovely Sunday evening. I thought we had driven past an onion patch only to discover that...

Julianna is getting older and stinkier.
As the ever so pleasant smell of Anna's stinky pits wafted up to the front seat, Darren smiled in a nostalgic way and said it smells like the crisps from his boyhood. Delicious oniony cheese crisps that he had not had in years and years, mmmmm. I was somewhat alarmed that he
#1 Didn't know that the stink was coming from right next to him and
#2 It was armpits AND
#3 That it made him think of FOOD?

I have never been happily reminded of food from the stench of some one's armpits. To each is there own.

As we drove Katie from here further referred to as monster was busily and happily annoying the crap out of Anna by licking her. Gross in so many ways but alas sibling must learn to coexist peacefully so I chose not to intervene with the licking. Plus the yelling and tattling and occasional cries is like music to my ears in a small, full, hot car.

Julianna puts on the air of being the ultimate big sister. Sweet and helpful and funny. But in truth she also part evil. She has this evil little laugh that tells me in .5 seconds her sister will be crying out in protest and tattle for something that will be legit and fantastically wrong. So titer titer from Anna, mooommmmmyyyyy waaaaaaaaaa, from Katie. Anna MADE me lick her arm pit and it tastes like puke! Gross my mouth tasted like puke!!!

She was not amused by the laughing adults. by for pete's sake why would you lick some one's armpit? Especially one that stank that bad!
Darren declined the offer to have a lick to see if they delivered on their cheese and onion odor.
